Policies & Procedures 

Flowers4u  requires at least 48 hour notice on every order. At this time, we are delivering on  Mondays to Saturdays. Larger & specialty orders may vary according to size, flower type, and delivery location. We take special care of each arrangement, so we need ample time to make sure everything looks as perfect as possible. 


If you are inquiring about a wedding or special event, please contact us at customerservice@flowers4u.ky to set up a complimentary phone consultation where we can discuss your vision in greater detail. We will need your name, phone number, e-mail address, date of ceremony or event, desired price point & style/theme if known.
 

  • Substitution Policy

 
Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your arrangement due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.

Flower Care: How to Lengthen the Life of Your Fresh Arrangement
 
The Society of American Florists provides these tips for longer-lasting, more vibrant flowers:
 

  1. Keep the vase filled with water containing a flower food provided by your florist. Flower foods make flowers last longer but it is important to follow the mixing directions on the flower food packet. Most packets are to be mixed with either a pint or a quart of water. Flower foods should not be diluted with more water than is specified on the packet.

  2. If the flower food solution becomes cloudy, replace it entirely with properly mixed flower food solution. If possible, re-cut stems by removing one to two inches with a sharp knife. Be sure to use a sharp knife or clippers that will not crush the stems. Immediately place the stems into solution.

  3. Keep flowers in a cool spot (65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit), away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, directly under ceiling fans, or on top of televisions or radiators. (Appliances like televisions give off heat, which causes flowers to dehydrate.) Most flowers will last longer under cool conditions.

  • Everlasting bouquets are all the rage again & are a great way to have beautiful florals around for without the requirement of water & extra care. Keep these preserved florals out of direct sun and away from vents to enjoy them for as long as possible.

 

  • Purchaser Agreement


As the purchaser of items from Flowers4u , the purchaser agrees that:

  • All sales are final.

  • As flowers are a perishable item, returns are only accepted under the following circumstances:

  • All issues must be indicated to us within 24 hours of delivery — if you are calling after hours, please leave a message with a time to reach you and phone number and we will call the next business day.

  • We will happily replace any damaged item, which may have had its quality affected during shipping

  • As items are perishable, we do not issue refunds, however if the issue cannot be resolved, an in-store credit may be available

  • Returns are accepted on a “quality” basis only — issues of “not liking” the arrangement are not grounds for a return.

  • As flowers are perishable, you must water them, otherwise they will not last long. It is the recipient’s responsibility to re-cut and water the arrangement.

  • If you are ordering flowers for someone else, be sure you are choosing something they would like — style preferences are not grounds for returns make sure to alert us of any allergies/ circumstances we need to be aware of.

  • As all flowers are not always in season, or not in stock,  Flowers4ul reserves the right to substitute blooms with a similar “look” and feel without prior consultation. We will do our utmost to make the arrangement as close to the advertised picture as possible. If you require a specific product, please call and check for its availability.

  • If no name is specified for the “card message”, we will put the name of the sender on the card

  • If you require a timed delivery, please call and speak with our designers to make those arrangements.

  • Please alert us of any allergies/ circumstances we need to be aware of.

It is your responsibility, as the sender, to ensure that the recipient will be at the location of the delivery on the date of delivery. If the recipient goes home early (if delivered to a workplace) or is out of town (for home deliveries), unbeknownst to us, it is not cause for refund or exchange as we have fulfilled our obligation in delivering upon the date of request as ordered by the sender.
